Pearl drum sound vs.Canopus drume
« on: February 25, 2013, 12:03:17 pm »
I tend to like the Canopus drums better they are very well made drums which Mel started useing in Japan in the late 90s. they remind me of the old Slingerland drum sound, with great attack and sustain. they are the only NEW set of drums featured on Steve Maxwells web site, whivh compares them to the great sound of the Vintage drums by Leady ,Slingerland, and ludwig. If you get a chance ck out Steve Maxwells Drums on you tube for all of you vintage drum fans, they have a great selection of old and new kits featured. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for. Thanks Guys chat with you later.Tom Connolly

For any 1 intrested, here's the link to the CanOpus dealer list:  http://www.canopusdrums.com/en/shops/index.html

I checked the websites and called a number of these dealers and MOST don't stock CanOpus but mite have some used product.  CanOpus runs approx 1.4X more than comparable product and doesn't have much US market share at this time.
