My wife and I have our tickets purchased.  Same hotel or something different this year?

What rate could you negotiate for?  Do they have an official site to make reservations?

I suppose there's an 800 # for DAY'S INN RESERVATIONS.
But IMO it's easier to just dial the direct line (610) 876-7211
If you go thru the 800 #, the address is 1300 Providence Ave.
Chester, Pa.   The rate in the past has always been $67.96 for
double occupancy!

I called the toll free line one evening.  They verified the Group name but the manager was not in to verify the rate.  Called the next day, they tried to sell me various packages, but finally would not call the hotel to verify the group rate or thast the group exists!  I will try calling direct to the hotel next, but it looks like I am having the same issues as last year!

Howard- If I'm not mistaken, I made your reservations last year.
Could do the same again if you wish.

Here's the thing.   Usually each year 'round this time, I drop into
the motel lobby & talk with MGMT. to remind them of the event &
the exact dates in question.   We've hit June I know but I haven't
been in that area for some time.   Will have to schedule one of those
'wonderful' TOM JONES blue ribbon breakfasts with Dennis so I can
touch base over there.   I'll try to take care of it within the next week.

I got the hotel on the line and the front desk remembered me (a loud, drunken bastard, walks with a limp with a patch over one eye...) and had no trouble getting my reservation.  He said the manager notified them all!
We will be arrivinbg 1:36 Firiday afternoon this time so pancakes will be cold.

Howard- I stopped there on the way home from my neice's
this morning & was told you 'firmed up' five nights of lodging.
Still, I needed to talk with MGMT. & 'plant the seed' on their
brains once again, verfify the exact dates & special room rate!

Will post something to that effect on the fest facebook page!

As many of you know, we are moving. This has forced me to abandon plans to play at the fan fest this year. We hope to be moved by then, although better be moved is more accurate. Being unpacked and settled in is impossible, so I have no idea yet if I can even attend this year. Chances are no better than 50/50. But I will do what I can. I'll keep everyone in my thoughts, and try to make it happen, and I'll post here when I know more.

Noel- Thanx for keeping everyone here up to date
with your progress.   I've already had several of the
jammers inquire 'bout your 'big move.'   Looking at
my own 'living situation' here at 1101 Bryan Street,
can't imagine how I'd keep my sanity if I was suddenly
thrust into a similar situation.   So kudos from the fest
host to you for your continued perseverence!

Hoping to get some 'terrific' news from you in the 'not
too distant' future!

Yes Tom, it would be difficult for you to move after spending a lifetime at your home; I can identify with that.
And besides the uprooted feeling, you'd probably never find another place to display "all" your Driver of The Year Awards.

That 'last remark' is 'priceless' & will 'most definetly'
be shared with Bernie & Rodger!

While we haven't reserved the date yet with the moving company, it looks very likely that we move the same weekend as the fan fest. We've settled on the new house, and pre-move work is underway.

Good news is the house has several areas for playing music, including a 14 X 32 underground music room that's already plumbed for a wet bar. We're planning to host house concerts.

So...

I want to wish everyone a wonderful time this year! I'm very sorry I'm not able to be there with you. I'll be thinking of all the fun you're having while I start moving furniture into place, and setting up beds and everything.

Happy trails!
Noel

My hopes dashed- oh well.   Best of luck
in your 'new diggs.'   Can't wait for that
first Squitieri concert invite!
