We are Driving Guitars. An Ozark Alabama based classic rock band. We play a LOT of Ventures and savages and the like. Tho we are not totally limited to that. We lost our bass player recently to a job opening i another part of the country and are looking to fill the spot. If you would like to come sit in with us let me know. Howdy- Tom Baltaeff, one of the co-moderators of the site along with Walt Stagner.

Not sure we'd be able to do a 'nearby members' check for you.   We're over 200 at the
moment.   If Walt sees this, he may be able to come up with some names & locations.

In the meantime, would 'you guys' consider attending our annual VENTURES FAN FEST
here in Pa. Saturday October 3rd?  We jam all day.   It's a 9 AM - 9 PM gathering of guys
who are devout Ventures & Shadows fans.   We feature two headlining bands & countless
other musical pairings of jammers throughout the day.   Cover charge per person is $50 w/
an option for a post fest DVD SET for an additional $30.   If you need additional details, E-
mail me at:   tabalt11@yahoo.com     You may also wish to check out my 2015 VENTURES
INTERNATIONAL FAN FEST facebook page & my YOUTUBE channel for fest clips-  tab11balt11

Hi John!  We welcome you and The Driving Guitars here to Fans of The Ventures!

Please consider You/the band attending the 2015 Fan Fest, in Philadelphia, Pa., held October 3rd, 2015.
(Presented by Superhost Tom Baltaeff and excellently videographed by Walt Stagner)
You're sure to have a fabulous time, you'll be meeting many other musicians with like tastes!
From 2010 through 2013, the Fan Fest was graced with the attendance of Venture Bob Spalding and his wife.
Bob took the stage with everybody, playing guitar, bass and one occasion, even the drums!
In 2011 Bob brought along Leon Taylor and Ian Spalding, that was super memorable!
Our own group has attended each year from 2010, and we are attending and performing again this year!

I just listened to your enjoyable music at your website. Amazing! Ventures music in the deep south! Hurrah!

I used to live and went to school in Atlanta (1961-1966) and I'll be bringing my wife from Brazil and play (what looks like) a tamborine and some sort of round thing with beads all over it, don't know what its called.  Anyway come to Philadelphia to join us for Southern Musical Hospitality!
