I never liked that toon much anwy.  Hopefully they made some $ from it.  It's not an example of their best work. ;)

Would have voted justly deserved if this poll were still open. There were really very few records released with little or no Ventures involvement and there was certainly never anything released that they couldn't duplicate or play better on stage. I agree that at various points they were "Bogle's Ventures", "Nokies Ventures", "Gerry's Ventures" etc. (Hey, even Don played lead on a few things) and though to me the quintessential Ventures are Bob, Don, Nokie, and Howie or Mel I can appreciate them in all their incarnations.

Thanks Mr. Gandy Dancer.   What's GREAT about 'our forum' is that feedback
can continue in a 'most orderly' fashion weeks, months, or shall I dare say
years after a topic is posted.   Walt did a 'super job' setting up the site &
thinking of 'every conceivable' category.   SMOOTH SAILING is what it
is on a daily basis.   Honored I was asked to be co-moderator!
