They certainly found the experimental sounds that they were told to look for. Were they the first to play beyond the nut/behind the bridge? The only other guitarists I can think of who have done that are Gene Moles on 'Twin Pipes' and Duane Eddy on 'Monsoon'. Also some country guitarists bend notes behind the nut. Anyone know of any others?

According to Jerry Donahue, he saw Gerry McGee play b hind the nut when Jerry was a kid way back then.
