"Ventures Vinyl of the Month" is a feature I've been posting at SurfGuitar101.com over the past four months. It has already had over 1000 views and several interesting comments. You can read it without joining, and you can join for free and participate in the discussion.

My handle at SG101 is Squid. I chose that because all the good names were taken (just kidding).

I've been a Ventureholic since taking up the guitar and buying a Ventures' LP album at Korvette's Dept Store in Brooklyn in 1963.  With The Insanitizers guitar band I perform several Ventures' songs and many originals in a similar style. My band website is Insanitizers.com, you can hear my recordings free there, and I am still recording and performing.  My coauthor for "Ventures Vinyl of the Month" is Bob Coates of The Zingrays and The Canoise.

Co-moderator Tom here making everyone aware that
our 'newbie' here VENTURESSHADOW was 'nice enough'
a couple years back to provide me (100) copies of a demo
disc of his band to hand out at my annual VENTURES FAN FEST.
I still have a batch still left & plan to make them (1) of next year's
handouts.
