Walk Don't Run - The Story of the Ventures

I just finished the book. I'm not sure what I'm feeling. Elation....that I've come full circle back to my roots...I can pay jazz, blues, classical...just about every genre of American music and then some...but I'm just a guy, one of many, that learned how to play the guitar listening to Ventures songs. Hours upon hours of lifting up the phonograph needle trying to get the melody, or the chords, or bass.

The book is simply....F A N T A S T I C!   And its mainly due to the subject matter...The Greatest Instrumental Band in the World....ever.

So I want to thank all the members here for keeping the Ventures flame going. You've done a wonderful job and a great service to music..especîally in these current times where we find ourselves amidst mediocrity.

Now...to start the book...again!

It really is a great book, just wish it was also in hard cover because I'm wearing mine out!
