From The Ventures' website April, 03 2014:
The Ventures have been in the studio this month, busy recording some very interesting new tracks which will be released in Japan this summer. One project is for Universal Japan (formerly EMI Japan / Toshiba-EMI): the tentative title of the CD is 'Summer Sounds'. A full track list will be available soon. In addition, the group recorded two tracks for Pony Canyon which will also be released some time prior to The Ventures summer tour in Japan. When we have final details of release dates, etc., we will post more information.
We have been advised that Ace Records in England has decided that they will be releasing The Ventures In The Vaults, Volume 5, some time in late summer 2014. Final track listing is not yet available, but we know that there will be 26 tracks, all previously unreleased (or issued in very limited release many years ago), so there should be a wealth of new (that is, new old) material for fans to appreciate! When we do have the track listing, we will post it here, and also advise release date, price, etc. As usual, we will be asking fans to pre-order when we do know the release date, so we can arrange for enough copies to satisfy everyone!
