DON WILSON'S 80TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Hopefully the below provided link will work but FANS OF THE VENTURES
officially wants to wish Don Wilson many more (he's 80 now) birthdays
just like the one celebrated Sunday at The Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle.   

Throughout the 'truly storied' career of THE VENTURES, alot of us were
fortunate to not only meet Don on occasion after a show but most of
the other VENTURES throughout the years.   

As you may or may not know I was able to nab both Bob Spalding & Leon
Taylor for the 'annual' Oct. 'fan fest' dedicated yearly on the group's behalf.   

May they continue to 'rock 'n roll' on.   What a 'nice tribute' the Hard Rock
Cafe provided.    Check it out here:

Hey Walt, Is it possible for a member like me to create a new gallery? As it is now, I can only see how to upload photos to the existing Fan Jam gallery.  It asks me to select a category and the only category to select is the Fan Fest category.

I THINK you can create a gallery, but I won't swear to it.
Tell me the steps you've done and I'll check.
Worse comes to worse, I'll create a gallery you can post in.

I click the green "gallery" button that appears towards the top of the screen. It opens to a screen that gives several options for adding pictures. Selecting any of the options (I've tried 'em all) requires that you select a category for your photo. The only select-able category is "FanFest2012". -MT

Try following this link:

in the Gallery Admin panel click add category.

If you can't see that function, lemme know and I'll create some user gallerys.  :-)

Yeah, I think the admin panel must be restricted to list administrators. I see no option to add a new gallery. -MT

"Member Pix Gallery 1" would be an appropriate gallery but even there, when I try to add a picture, the only category I'm allowed to select is "FanFest". I'll try a test pic and see where it ends up. -MT

Okay, I put up a test picture titled "Journey to the Stars". I was only able to select the FanFest category and I did so. The picture shows up under a new pictures group. I'm wanting to put Don's 80's birthday pix under a more appropriate gallery title. -Marty
