Happy New Year from Spain
« on: December 26, 2011, 03:52:37 pm »
Hi
I am Patrick Lozac'h, a French guitar player living in Spain, a Venture's Fan for 50 years.
I give you the link to my Ram Bunk Shush version, one of my Venture's favorites:
Cheers
Patrick

Nice 1, Patrick.  Welcome to Fans Of The Ventures.
Please post some additional links to your playing.  It's excellent!
Do you do your own backing trax?  Do you ever play with a band?

Thank you
I recorded a lot of audio demos but I am posting videos on YouTube just for 2 month so I could add these additional links interesting the Venture's Fans:

Usually I play on backing tracks from CD's I buy on Internet, however I did find nothing for Ram Bunk Shush and I did the backing from a well-done midi file available on Internet. I am in Spain for 12 years and here, I play especially Country Music with various singers or bands.
Cheers

Those are excellent performances, Patrick! I see you play with a thumbpick. That gives a special swing feel when you use thumb and fingers. I also play that way and have a few youtubes up. Here's one of a tune the Ventures did on the "Going to the Ventures Dance Party" album.

and another of a tune they did on "On Stage Around the World"

Hi
Thank you for your reply and your appreciation.
Marty, your Nutty is excellent.
Please, how can you paste directly the YouTube video on the page? Is it possible with a mp3 as well?
Patrick

Patrick...those performances are great!  I think you and Marty should collaberate on a CD and quick!

You need to find some people to play with.  Please consider attending Tom's FanFest next October.  Our band would be glad to back you up!  You're obviously a very accomplished player....kind of a combo of Gerry McGee and Nokie I'd say.

Thanks Walt. I'd love to attend next October. I'm afraid I'm stuck in a doctoral program with no time off for the next 2 and half years. But I did get the rare chance to get out and play last week. the evidence is below. -Marty

Hi
Sometimes, its difficult for me to follow the direction of the discussion and I react with a delay. I also have to become used to the functioning of the site.
Effectively I would be very happy if we could collaborate on musical project.

Patrick....no reason why you and Marty can't collaborate.
Cliff Richard & the Shadows recorded a new CD in 2009.....Bruce/Brian recorded in UK.  Hank down in Perth and Cliff in the Canary Islands or whereever his private residence is.  Everyone is as nearby as an email.

Glad you like this forum.  It's an EZ 2 use format.
