Mr Wagner
Always enjoy Bobs playing !! Was especially excited to see his collection of Mosrites...because his 65/66 Mark 1 sunburst looks EXACTLY like mine....truss rod adjustment at the heel end...7 pickguard screws (instead of 8)..Moseley tailpiece....same sunburst color shades....date stamped on my neck is 65, in the neck pocket is 66. Serial # 3850
Ive seen some that were very  close but would have truss rod adj at the neck end or 8 pickguard screws.... etc.
I ve  heard this was about the time a lot of  things were changing at the factory.........
Would really like to know Bobs  serial number stamp ....... betting its close to mine.
Thanks for all you do for us fans :)

Not sure if Im the right place, but found this site through the Mosrite forum and always crazy about all things Ventures. My story is like many others,,...
heard Walk Dont Run back about 63 ,and it was the beginning of a long love affair.Still have every album they ever made,,,and cds that came out over the years since then.Back in mid to late sixties would go to our local music store after school and drool over the Mosrites they had.
Came home from the Army in 1974 ,walked into that same store and found a Mark 1 ,sunburst # 3850 hanging on the wall for 150.00 (pics on Mosrite forum)
Not a scratch on it.Scarfed it up and have had it ever since.
Still love to get it all out and play.
Sorry for ramblin on.......just wanted to be a part of this great site. The absolute greatest instrumental band of all time !!
